Hi,

With 2.6.35, I got a kernel panic a couple of
seconds after I select an image to load.

Please send the panic message. A screenshot will do but you may need to
add 'vga=6' to the boot loader parameters to ensure that the whole
message fits on the screen.

It can't be; that's already fixed.

I saw that I was only on 2.6.35-1~experimental.2. I will retry with 2.6.35-1~experimental.3

OK, you're right, this is a regression of #589989. We must have dropped
that patch somewhere between upstream versions 2.6.35-rc6 and 2.6.35.

It is fixed in the package of Linux 2.6.36-rc5 which I just uploaded to
experimental.
