Default Bug#582021:

woops...
To correct some entries in the post, I got the kernels mixed up in making the report.
It may not matter, the end description is right, but to straighten it out,

The kernel first used to boot lenny is the squeeze xen kernel, 2.6.32-bpo.4-xen
The original ubuntu kernel is* vmlinuz-2.6.31.6-xenU.
The recompiled kernel is kernel-2.6-xen-amd64-domU.

Booting squeeze with 2.6.32-bpo.4-xen and kernel-2.6-xen-amd64-domU gave similar results.

In citing which kernel used, I cut and pasted wrongly due to so many runs , getting the wrong one for a couple of the entries if you look closely.
