Please can you test Linux 2.6.33? You will need to add the experimental
suite to your APT sources.list and then install the package
linux-image-2.6.33-2-amd64.

This is said to be fixed by the change:

which was included in Linux 2.6.32.18 and Debian's package version
2.6.32-20.

Do you still see the problem, or do you agree that it is now fixed?
