Default Bug#550649: linux-image-2.6.26-2-amd64: Kernel panic Aiee, killing interrupt handler

Hi,
The next release of Debian (6.0, code name Squeeze) will be based
on 2.6.32. Please test the atk5k from the current 2.6.32 from
unstable/testing and tell us whether the problem persists. If so,
we should report it upstream to the kernel.org developers.

The 2.6.32 kernel is available from packages.debian.org and can
be installed in both Debian stable, testing and unstable
installations.

Thanks,
Moritz

I downloaded and installed.

linux-headers-2.6.32-trunk-amd64_2.6.32-5_amd64.deb
linux-headers-2.6.32-trunk-common_2.6.32-5_amd64.deb
linux-image-2.6.32-trunk-amd64_2.6.32-5_amd64.deb
linux-kbuild-2.6.32_2.6.32-1_amd64.deb

ath5k seems to work just fine with this kernel.
Also, the wireless lan indicator/button now correctly reflects the
Compaq Presario's
wireless enabled status, although pressing it seems "hit and miss" -
it's just a quibble.

Should I continue using it?

Philip
