Default Bug#452246: sysrq h does not work now

X-Debbugs-Cc: crutcher+kernel@datastacks.com
Package: linux-doc-2.6.21
Version: 2.6.21-5
File: /usr/share/doc/linux-doc-2.6.21/Documentation/sysrq.txt

'h' - Will display help (actually any other key than those listed
above will display help. but 'h' is easy to remember :-)

This does NOT work anymore. The other keys still work, but h does
apparently nothing now, not that I know why.

2.6.22-3-686 #1 SMP Mon Nov 12 08:32:57 UTC 2007 i686 GNU/Linux

P.S., what that h used to send was too non-verbose. There should be a
second help option that should send more verbose help, that of course
fits within a 24x80 console. Also remember to list the help key itself
amongst the items.

Feel free to take that up with upstream, we will not diverge for this.

It works too.

On my Thinkpad r50e, in tty1
ALT SYSRQ SHIFT prints the help lines.
ALT SYSRQ h doesn't.
In /dev/pts/0 (icewm), both don't.

Anyway, in states like bug 451989,
SYSRQ didn't help and I had to hit the RESET button.
