Default Bug#507958: linux-2.6: Dell Latitude E6500 touchpad is not detected properly (patch available)

Package: linux-2.6
Version: 2.6.26-11
Severity: normal

Tags: patch

The ALPS touchpad of Dell Latitude E6500 (and possibly others) is not
detected properly, due to the device id missing in
drivers/input/mouse/alps.c. A patch[1] adding the device ID was posted
in LKML and works properly.
