With regard to http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=375422 :

Does this error still occur with the final Etch kernel?

Default Bug#375422: Boot failure with kernel 2.6.15 on G4

Sorry to take so long to get back on this.

I just did an install on this machine, and all went well. I used the
Lenny RC1 "netinst" CD. Everything worked according to specs. I was
even able to install X11 and Gnome at full 1280x1024 resolution --
it's not blindingly fast, but it works OK.


I think you can close this bugreport.
