Yeah, that's what I've been saying for ages now. If Karsten still has
his SWARM, I'd say he should give it a more active developer who's
interested in working on SWARM support (Aurelien Jarno or Thomas
Bogendoerfer maybe).

But I consider SWARM completely broken. I doubt the kernel works and
debian-installer is probably completely broken too because nobody has
tested it in years. d-i support for the BigSur never worked, although
it's still there. I think d-i support for SWARM and BigSur should be
removed unless something is willing to fix it.

I am promised to have internet access again at home next weekend,
working on the SWARM kernels is the highest Debian-related priority
I have at that point.

I still have my SWARM, although it has been running only very
flaky during the last months. All newer kernels don't boot at all
as listed in the bugreports, but nowadays even with old kernels
(which used to work before without problems even under heavy
load) the box freezes after some time, so I assume the machine
has hardware problems. Testing on this box therefore does not
really help atm.

Karsten

The patch is still needed. Modules support in 2.6.31 was also broken, I
haven't found time to check how it behaves in 2.6.32.

There is still a lot of work to get the support for bcm91250a in the
debian kernel packages, but I'll try to work on that.
