At least kernel 2.6.26.3 from kernel.org works again, thus the bug was
resolved. Debian Kernel 2.6.24-1-686 still has the bug. The actual default
testing kernel 2.6.26-1 does not have sata_sis configured (CONFIG_SATA_SIS is
not set) and thus does not work on my system at all; however just enabling
CONFIG_SATA_SIS works.
