Hi,

I had exactly the same problem on the same kernel and xserver-xorg-video-intel version

Upgrading to version 2.3.2 didn't help.
ii xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.3.2-1 X.Org X server -- Intel i8xx, i9xx display driver

So I tried to upgrade to 2.6.26-rc8-686-bigmem from
http://kernel-archive.buildserver.net/debian-kernel
and the problem remainds.

xorg version:
ii xorg 1:7.3+12 X.Org X Window System


Is this Intel i8xx, i9xx display drive problem, or xorg problem or even
kernel problem?

could you please report it to bugs.freedesktop.org
attaching dmesg there xorg log and lspci -v output.

please let us now about xorg upstream bug number.
