Default KDE4 Plasma Panel Behavior Change

Plasma was not updated to my knowledge, still using version on experimental.

After a not-infrequent plasma crash while playing with widgets, the behavior
of the panel changed from the Pager, panel icons/widgets on right half, menu
and running windows on left half to .... all icons spaced evening through the
whole length. Running (minimized) windows do not show up on the panel at all!
which means they are really hiddent (alt/tab will find them, of course).

How might I restore the regular behavior? Bug or feature?

You can right-click on widgets and remove them (sometimes difficult)
or
add a new panel (right-cick on desktop) and then add widgets on it.

It is sometimes faster to create a new user and copy the files in
~/.kde4/share/config/plamarc
~/.kde4/share/config/plama-appletsrc

Bug!

4.080-1 Version still has placement problems. The menu button is on the right
and I cannot get it back to the left. May have to do with the order widgets
were placed originally on this panel. Minimized apps still do not show on the
panel. Crashing problems that either came from kde3 applets OR from a negative
vertical position (which I hand edited to 0) have not recurred.

The new panel properties, replacing size with word-processor type margin
pointers and alignments works OK. It was not at all intuitive that the panel
height could be adjusted by moving the top boarder (does it actually have
one?). Found by accident and the panel height/icon sizes works correctly--it
did not previously. The funny positioning behavior when locking/unlocking
widgets is to make room for the addwidget icon to the far-right.
