Default Unbreaking audiocd:/ again (was: Fwd: libneon27 0.29.6-1 breaks kio_audiocd.so as well)

Hi!

In trying to unbreak accessing audiocd:/ again I came across bug 667043.

But after I downgraded I got a different error:

Zusätzliche Information: Sie haben nicht die nötigen Rechte zum Lesen von
diesem Gerät. Bitte prüfen Sie die Leserechte für dieses Gerät.

=> no read permission for the device.

But:

merkaba:~> ls -l /dev/sr0
brw-rw---T+ 1 root cdrom 11, 0 Apr 5 12:31 /dev/sr0

merkaba:~> id martin
uid=1000(martin) gid=1000(martin)
Gruppen=1000(martin),4(adm),24(cdrom),25(floppy),2 7(sudo),30(dip),44(video),46(plugdev),106(netdev), 107(bluetooth),108(lpadmin),111(fuse),119(vboxuser s),126(sbuild),117(pulse-
access)

merkaba:~> getfacl /dev/sr0
getfacl: Entferne führende '/' von absoluten Pfadnamen
# file: dev/sr0
# owner: root
# group: cdrom
# flags: --t
user::rw-
user:martin:rw-
group::rw-
mask::rw-
other::---

And it still does not work after:

merkaba:~> chmod 777 /dev/sr0

Seriously, whats that?

Anyway I will be using Audex or something else to encode CDs over eastern.
I very likely won´t have broadband internet access during that time. So no
urgency in any way.

And no offence meant. I am just totally puzzled by that error message and
frustrated that my advanced Linux skills do not lead me to a quick
resolution of a *permission* problem.

Nothing in ~/.xsession-errors this time.

I am willing to report whatever bug report is needed after eastern.

Thanks and a happy eastern,
Martin

Subject: libneon27 0.29.6-1 breaks kio_audiocd.so as well

Hi!

When trying to access audiocd:/ in Konqueror or Dolphin with KDE SC 4.7.4
I get the following in ~/.xsession-errors.

konqueror(12170): couldn't create slave: "Aufruf des Ein-/Ausgabemoduls

klauncher meldet: Fehler beim Laden von „kio_audiocd“
"
Could not open library '/usr/lib/kde4/kio_audiocd.so'.

Downgrading to libneon27 and libneon27-gnutls from

http://snapshot.debian.org/package/neon27/0.29.6-1/

fixes the issue. (And I then get another, not enough permissions, although
I think I obviously have enough permissions - different bug.)

Ciao,

Try to strace the process to get the actual error message and possibly the file
related to it.

Good luck,
Carsten
