Default kde3 apps on kde4/experimental

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1

Hi,

...I know it should be possible to run kde3 apps under kde4, but whenever I
try to install kde3 apps on my sid box (kde4 from experimental) apt-get has
dependency problems:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
kvpnc: Depends: kdelibs4c2a (>= 4:3.5.8-5) but it is not going to be
installed
E: Broken packages

...if I install kdelibs4c2a, apt-get wants to remove some kde4 packages:

root@hal:~# apt-get install kdelibs4c2a
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
The following extra packages will be installed:
kdelibs-data
Suggested packages:
fam
The following packages will be REMOVED:
kdeartwork-theme-desktop kdeartwork-theme-icon
The following NEW packages will be installed:
kdelibs-data kdelibs4c2a
0 upgraded, 2 newly installed, 2 to remove and 240 not upgraded.
Need to get 19.1MB of archives.
After this operation, 10.9MB disk space will be freed.
Do you want to continue [Y/n]?

Is that the way to go, or am I missing something ?

Thanks,

Andy

It is the way to go. BAsed of my memory (which might be flawed), the
crystal icon theme is the default in kde3 and placed in kdelibs, while
in kde4 it is not the default (nice oxygen is) and is placed in
kdeartwork.
