Default issues installing kde4

Hi,

We are sorry, but that is how our slow experimental works (nobody of us like
how it works). 4.0.84 was partly uploaded for i386 so if you're on amd64 or
powerpc, you will either have to do some cherry-picking of individual kde4
binary packages or wait some time (from two days to a week).

Note to everyone else upgrading: if you're KDEPIM apps (kmail, kontact) and/or
kdeplasmoids and/or kdebase-plasma (folder view) (also kget, superkaramba and
their respective source packages) user, do not upgrade until kdepim and/or
kdeplasmoids and/or kdebase 4.0.84 enter experimental for your architecture.

I didn't pay attention when upgrading and installed the 4.0.84 packages.. Is
there a
place where I can find the old 4.0.82 packages, so I can use those till 4.0.84
KDEPIM and
kdebase packages are available?

Thanks,

Arnout

Default issues installing kde4

Hi Arnout,

If you are interested, I compiled kdebase and kdepim for i386 using
tars from ftp.kde.org and packaging info from svn.debian.org.

You can find my packages at
http://proba.jussieu.fr/pageperso/boutilli/test/debian/
(this repository should be apt-get-able).

Best regards,

Cédric

Thanks! I could not get kmail to work yet, but at least plasma does not crash
anymore
when I log in.
