Default Debian package of geronimo

Hi Jonas,

As far as I can see, it doesn't look like anyone is actively packaging
Geronimo for Debian.

You can put in a request for it at http://www.debian.org/devel/wnpp/.
But my guess is that it isn't something that would get into Debian too
quickly. There are just too many packages, and not enough developers...

Hello Paul,

Thanks for your reply. I thought this would be the situation. With no
knowledge about how making packages for Debian I doubt that I could
make this myself, but I filed a RFP at http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=481869

Hi Jonas,

A good next step would be to check all dependencies, check whether those are
in Debian, and file RFPs for those that are not, adding those as blocking
bugs of the original RFPs. That will shorten the time needed to do the
packaging.
