Fwd: Bug#454564: ITP: libjtds-java -- Pure Java (type 4) JDBC 3.0 driver for Microsoft SQL Server and Sybase
Hi there,
I just packaged libjtds-java, because I need it, and it seems like a package that many people would use... Saving some copyright issues (I'm soooo tired of this, when using java apps) I think it is ready to go. I had to severely cut parts of it to make it dfsg free (many missing copyright notices), but nothing too important: stuff for windows, code that seems dead, and test cases. I've tried running the test cases against the local sql server, and *most* of them run well. But I don't know if the original version would run them ok. I also had to replace all the libs/ with packages in debian, sometimes not the exact package. The only thing left is one file without copyright, but it seems reasonable to assume the same copyright, as it was from the same commit as many other files. (I also have filed a bug in source forge). So the question is, I better maintain it by myself, or the group is interested in it? I'm not a member, but if you add me (tincho-guest) I'd be happy to put it under the group's umbrella. Also, I'd welcome reviews of the package. Hi Michael,

That'd be good, I prefer to work with teams. libjtds-java is already in unstable (and about to enter testing today), but I can make it group maintained in the next upload. -- Martín Ferrari |
