Default NFS4 on Etch

I've tried NFS4 on several Etch servers and I've got several issues :

1. A NFS server and 4 clients : there is a huge memory leak on the
servers and

I need to restart NFS kernel daemon every 3 weeks (16 GB RAM)

2. A NetApp filer and a Debian client. Filebench (varmail test)
shows a big
performance difference between NFS3 (5500 ops/s) and NFS4 mounts
(3600 ops/s).

Is NFS4 really stable on etch ?
