Default Could multiarch conflict singel arch?

Hello there,

I must throw in a word of caution. On my main development machine,
running single arch i686, I find that gcc-4.5_4.5.3-3 and gcc-4.4_4.4.6-6
are gravely brokon on my machine: They can not generate executables!

Downgrading gcc and cpp to 4.5_4.5.3-1 and 4.4_4.4.6-3 restores the
expected functionality. These are the version before activation of
mutliarch support! Are you all sure that there is no implicit
infrastructure dependency?

Regards, now very cautious for the future,
Mats Erik Andersson, DM

Yes indeed, see bugs #631906 (for gcc-4.4), #631926 (for gcc-4.5) and
#631627 (for gcc-4.6). And my earlier message on this list:
