Default Bug#584572: symbol lookup error: undefined symbol

After upgrading libstdc++6 this morning, various C++ software began
failing. The original version upgraded from was 4.5.0-4 so the problem
appears to be introduced in this specific version.

Following is a transcript of reproducing the problem.

I'm going to downgrade to the version in squeeze now, but I can
reupgrade any time if more details are needed.

Debian Release: squeeze/sid
Architecture: i386 (i686)

Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores)
Locale: LANG=en_US.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8)
Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash

Versions of packages libstdc++6 depends on:
ii gcc-4.5-base 4.5.0-5 The GNU Compiler Collection (base
ii libc6 2.10.2-9 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib
ii libgcc1 1:4.5.0-5 GCC support library

libstdc++6 recommends no packages.

libstdc++6 suggests no packages.
