Default dpkg: general install timestamp question

Dear List,

one question about dpkg: Are there any "install timestamps" available
for installed packages? When having a debian installation with the
"testing" branch, it would be useful to find out how old a package is. I
know there are install logs with aptitude, but there are other package
managers, so this log might not be sufficient.

Greetings
Clemens

There's a /var/log/dpkg.log too. But as any log it's rotated and oldest
entries will disappear.
