Default f17-branch is in the can

They declared RC4 as gold today, so the f17-branch is now finished.
Onward to F18 with newui!

Thanks to everyone who helped with this release, especially Will Woods
for killing off loader and being so responsive with bugfixes as we
sorted things out.
