Where is the package really hosted upstream?

If it us "just a ruby script", is it sensible to use an entire package
for it? What about trying to get it included in another package that
has similar functionality already?

Benedikt Meurer is an Xfce developper. If this is/will be part of Xfce, you
may want to talk with pkg-xfce maintainers about this and see it may be
suitable for the pkg-xfce repository.

(that said with my pkg-xfce hat)
