Description : Safe dialect of C
Cyclone is a compiler for a language close to the C language. It adds
several feature to improve the safety on the C language. Such features
include:
One of cyclone aims is to produce programs that are more secure than C
programs by eliminating buffers overflows, double free bugs, dangling
pointers access, etc.
For Cyclone-l readers, this is a "Intent To Package" for the Debian
GNU/Linux distribution. It is meant to say that there is somebody
working on packaging a particular software for the distribution.
If you have any comments or questions, I'll be happy to answer.

I suggest "C-like compiler with improved security checks"
"dialect" is faily trivial language for me, which is IMHO not suitable
for a package description.

I disagree - dialect is the proper technical term here.

Though the actual thing being compackage seems to be a compiler, so:
compiler for a "safe" dialect of C
