Bug#634933: ITP: speechd-up -- Interface between Speech-dispatcher and Speakup
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist Owner: jp <mengualjeanphi@free.fr> * Package name : speechd-up Version : 0.5~20110719 Upstream Author : Hynek Hanke <hanke@freebsoft.org> Kirk Reiser <kirk@braille.uwo.ca> Jan Buchal <buchal@freebsoft.org> * URL : git://github.com/williamh/speechd-up.git * License : GPL-2 Programming Lang: C Description : Interface between Speech-dispatcher and Speakup If you want to have sound on the console with a commercial speech synthetiser, such as ibmtts, you need a connector between the speech synthetiser and the speakup_soft module. As there has not been any usable connector since Squeeze, this package has this function. It is useless if you use a free speech synthetiser as Espeak, as a connector exists and is packaged; see the espeakup package. It is also useless if you use speechd-el with Emacs. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-devel-REQUEST@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
