Sorry, this wasn't obvious to me at all; I've never seen such a thread on my
systems.
What is this driver polling on your system?

systems.
What is this driver polling on your system?
Sorry I have no idea. I can only guess that it is related to some mouse
or keyboard input in X windows, since the CPU starts to be consumed
when I start up the X session.
I have googled for this error, ubuntu and fedora lists mention
similar problems, but no solution is provided.

Please use 'reportbug' to follow up to bug #564833. This will
automatically provide some information about your system which may help
to diagnose the problem.
