This is a syntax highlighting. It generates an HTML fragment by
marking up the input string with span tags according the given rules. Colouring
or other highlighting is then controlled via CSS. Configuration for particular source
languages can be done by subclassing.

Compared to other source highlighting solutions, this one is light-weight, and
suitable for use in perl programs.

This package will be maintained by the pkg-perl team.
