I just tried the gnome repository. The stable one (2.18.3). I'm not
sure it's a good indication of anything apart from the what version of
gnome is the most fallthrough default. It's not official, but
contributed. It's a bit out of kilter with core, opt and indeed the
new sourceforge URL scheme at current. CAVEAT: Unless I did something
wrong.
