Default Silly? messages - ipmitool

Just had a server fill up its SEL overnight with lines like
1784 | 09/14/2012 | 09:32:19 | Temperature #0x48 | Lower Critical going low

*Temp* critical and going low? It's becoming superconducting?
*shakes head*
Anyone see anything like that, or have any idea what that is supposed to
mean, other than a threshold set that should be off?
