how can i exclude certain mirrors from yum in centos 5?

*unfortunately, i get a behaviour similar to this:

the mirror is in the exclude list but still used. here's the exclude line:
exclude=.uav.ro,.lug.ro,.arlug.ro,.astral.ro
at next run, yum tries mirrors.uav.ro first, and fails, as usual.
any ideas?

yum uses a mirror that is on the exclude list. or, i don't understand that exclude list
