Out of the question. Too many other installed packages depend on the
these packages:
java-1.6.0-openjdk-1.6.0.0-41.b18.fc13.i686
java-1.6.0-openjdk-devel-1.6.0.0-41.b18.fc13.i686
java-1.6.0-openjdk-javadoc-1.6.0.0-41.b18.fc13.i686
java-1.6.0-openjdk-plugin-1.6.0.0-41.b18.fc13.i686
java-1.5.0-gcj-1.5.0.0-32.fc13.i686
java_cup-0.11a-4.fc13.noarch

Hi,
1. you need to UPGRADE to latest flash
Installed Packages
flash-plugin.i386 10.1.82.76-release @adobe-linux-i386
2. check FF for anything unusual (bold text indicates user changes)
Once again, this is about JavaScript (not Java !).
about:config
filter: java
If any bold items are there, please let us know (if you are not sure).
3. youtube help center
- www.youtube.com
- at bottom click Help
- click General Help Center
- in Search Help input field: you seem to have JavaScript turned off
- read any help answer item, do what they say; then follow additional
instructions on that page in case you still need help (like Step 1 ...
select Yes radio batton), etc.
Remember. this is from Youtube itself, so take it seriously what they say !

I read your message too late.
Here's what I did to solve the problem:
I opened firefox in safe mode, and disabled all add-ons (video
downloadhelper, foxweather, adblock, tubestop, trackmenot).
I also disabled all plugins.
And that fixed the problem.
Next, I proceeded to enable all the plugins that I needed (adobe reader,
the gecko media player for all media types, ..etc)
Next I re-installed the add-ons mentioned above.
and re-started firefox in normal mode.

All is well now.

Thanx to all who responded.

interesting solution. too bad you did not make note of versions and
reinstall 1 at a time to see where problems was.

but, then again, sometimes when we are trying to fix something, we do not
worry about what/which when it is many.

glad to know you did find a cure and are back up.

What a sillly reply.

I had no errors!
Add-ons and plugins seem to have side effects that
are impossible for a user to track down.
