Default System freezes with i8042_panic_blink on suspend

Hello,

I am using CentOS 4.6 (2.6.9-67.plus.c4) on a toshiba tecra 8000
notebook. If closing the panel, "Panel Power On/Off" is enabled in
bios, the notebook does suspend. But after opening the panel, the
notebook completely freezes. If the suspend only takes a few minutes,
then everything is working fine. But if the suspend takes a time more
than five or ten minutes, the system completely freezes. The error
message is:

[<c032bbe7>] syscall_call+0x7/0xb
[<c032007b>] xfrm_find_acq_byseq+0x100/0x10f
Badness in i8042_panic_blink at drivers/input/serio/i8042.c:992

[<c0123ea2>] panic+0xf7/0x142

My system:

# cat /etc/grub.conf | grep kernel
kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.9-67.plus.c4 ro root=/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00
noapic acpi=off rhgb quiet

The system freezes too, if com-ports and sound is disabled in bios.

Could the network controller 'RaLink' causes this problem?

I am using the centosplus kernel cause of its support for isa sound
cards. Is there an other kernel with that I could avoid this panic?

Thank you very much!

regards
Olaf
