Installed
freenx-0.7.3-8.el6.ay.i686.rpm
nx-3.5.0-1.el6.ay.i686.rpm
on C6 x86 (with a little guidance from KB's eMail) and working fine. No issues with fonts, but the machine was installed with minimal desktop anyway.
Looking forward to nx being moved to the extras-repo.

Cheers
Christoph
