Default How long to wait for package update?

Hi,

I just added a comment to
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=31746

It seems the package has not changed since two years,
even it was flagged out of date.

I now sent a link to the sources (the old place
was not available anymore).

How long should I wait until the maintainer updates the package?

I would adapt the package if the maintainer will not
update the package.

I also did added the maintainer into Cc of this mail,
hoping to get soon response.

Ciao,
Oliver

Generally 2 weeks (from when you notified the maintainer) is considered
a fair amount of time.

The 2 weeks count the moment you have sent the maintainer a mail, not every
maintainer is really following up the comments.

Isn't this package already orphaned? I see "Maintainer: None"

If so, it is free to adopt, isn't it?

I adopted, updated source, and then disowned the package. Dunno if the
original maintainer disowned it shortly after this thread started.

Hello,

the former maintainer has disowned the package,
and he was so nice to update it before.

I now picked it up.

Oliver

Ah, ok, I thought the orig maintainer updated it before disowning.

Thanks.

The orig maintainer sent me enmail and told me that he had disowned the package.

Using Cc to his mailadress, when writing to this list, was a good idea I think.

Ciao,
Oliver
