I know that core and extra need your job: I'm sure you will do great
thing with the 100% of your power, so I'm 50% sad and 50% happy: the
best dev is at his max power!

For other things, we're here

Thanks for your contributions.
Sorry to see you go, Roman. I hope you come back again. :-(
Good luck and all the best to you.

Waoh, you indeed have already way too much with that. Hopefully
dolby's help makes it less bad.
Anyway I'm glad to see you are still motivated and want to concentrate
on this

Btw, if a TU is interested in maintaining virtualbox-* packages in
community, that would be cool

Default TU Resignation

Hi,
With the heavy university load I will have this semester, I don't think I'll manage to keep up with the mailing list and updating packages. I have mostly stopped using Linux altogether, and the install that I do have is a bit of a mess, so maintaining packages has become more of a*nuisance*than something I enjoy. I wanted to become a TU mainly to learn the workflow of a TU and generally just find out how the AUR works from the perspective of a TU, in order to develop AUR2. I think I have mostly done that, but AUR2 development has ceased. Hopefully I (or someone else ) will pick it up and finish it off. I just don't have the time right now.

Luckily I don't have many packages in community. I didn't really get around to moving the ones I wanted from unsupported to community. The ones that are there are free for the taking, if anyone wants them. If not, I can move them to unsupported and try to keep maintaining them, or orphan them. I will try to maintain the ones in unsupported, they don't get updates very frequently (or at all).

The packages in community are:dbhubdina-fontofflineimap

Best of luck with your studies, and I'm sure you'll be back!

You are right in that sometimes building a package just seems
like a chore ... especially if there are real life issues that
take priority. I've started looking at automating the package
building process so that I can keep up (my third year in uni
is starting this month!)

Thanks for all your work.

Cheers,

Abhishek

Oh man, I do understand you so much! In 3 weeks I have my last Uni exams and I'm
also pretty under pressure. I wish you luck in everything you do and look
forward to see you back, when you have more time again

Adopted 'offlineimap'.

Adopted dina-font. That might be the package I use the more (font
under rxvt-unicode AND gvim AND IDEs...)!

Default TU Resignation

Hi,

With the news of angvp just resigning... well, I've also thought about
resigning for some time now. I don't really have a lot of time for TU
work because of real life stuff, so I've neglected it too much
recently. That is why I feel I shouldn't really be a TU anymore.

My packages in community are:

6tunnel
dmd (out-dated)
dsss (maybe out-dated)
libphobos (out-dated)
libtango (probably out-dated)
luafilesystem
luajit
luasql-mysql
premake (out-dated)

I've orphaned them and the following AUR packages since I don't really
have time to maintain them:

libtango-svn
lualdap
lualogging
luasql-sqlite3
nano-svn
neverball-svn
php-xcache
wol

I wish the best of luck to all the current and future TUs out there.

Best of luck in whatever you do... I hope you'll
come back one day when you've time again.

Cheers,
Abhishek
