I would like to know the real reason too, you don't seem like the owner
of the package and it seems actively maintained.

It does not prevent him from giving a reason but he does seems to be the
maintainer and the package has seen no update since its creation.

Sorry, this PKGBUILD is not right (too inefficient) and I would rather
wait for the new linux-ck naming scheme to work on it. I can reupload
the renamed version later on.

Hi, please delete all useless audacious2* packages,
they're all orphaned:
Please do not touch audacious2{,-plugins} since
they provide a gtk2 version of the audacious{,-plugins}
in extra, that does not conflict with the gtk3 one.

My two cents: audacious2 makes it seem like it is version 2.* of
audacious; I would name the package audacious-gtk2 instead.

quite agree. i created an audacious-gtk2 package several days ago
without the knowledge that audacious2 was there which meant to provide
audacious compiled against gtk2.
