Default winetools in community

Hi does anyone know whats the deal with the winetools package in
community?
Is it still useful? The wine wiki
http://wiki.jswindle.com/index.php/Winetools
says its obsolete in favour of winetricks(?)
But it also says its GPLed while the homepage
http://www.von-thadden.de/Joachim/WineTools/index.html#legal clearly
states otherwise.

I opened a bug report here: http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/13573

Note that there is not anything about license of Winetools itself, but
it's notice that you have to also abide license of programs installed
via winetools (not only Winetools license) with example of IE6
license.

Indeed.
Does anyone still use it?
http://en.opensuse.org/Wine says: Note: WineTools work with wine-0.9.3
and older only.
