I don't use it at all in my project, so I have no objections. Though I think
you might be asking this of the pacman devs.

I've not found myself in a situation where I could have needed something
like this without also wanting features from gdb. +1 for killing it.

I agree to get rid of it. Half the functions do not have it in use
anyway so gdp/printf usage is usually required to track down any issue.
