Here is a bit more information:

I don't do anything different when booting or starting Arch with any of the
kernels or the radeon driver. I am totally confused why compiz works great with
LTS, but white-screens with the current kernel. For both kernels, I don't use an
xorg.conf and the modules loaded look the same:

Thanks Pete, I'll give it a look.

The weirdest thing is the box not booting a 2nd time?? You can create a kernel
image for the 2.6.34 kernels, boot the damn thing ONCE and ONLY ONCE, then the
next time you boot the kernel starts spewing NULL Pointer Errors and dies?? Weird.
