Oops, Pierre linked me to the bug report before, and I forgot.

Yes this is upstream, see https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=280896
also, you could get a crash on logout/shutdown, see
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=280896

thanks a lot for wasting our time. right now your qt package, which
shouldn't be in any public repository because is a freaking rc, blocks
our ffmpeg.

every package that is in testing and community-testing and depends on qt
has to be rebuilt again if we want to move stuff in extra.

thanks a lot and i really really really want to remove that from testing.

Oh right, we've to move ffmpeg ASAP otherwise...uh wait, otherwise what
happens?

Just wait for 4.8.0 stable. Isn't so far away.

applications won't start, i can't move virtualbox anything.

Just wait for 4.8.0 stable. Isn't so far away.

that is what you say for the past 20 days.

drop it, let us fix our packages and only when is final you are allowed
to push that stuff into testing.

From what I understand from your previous post, applications in [testing] are
working, but if you move an application, built with qt 4.8, in [extra] it,
obviously, will not work.

Nothing is broken ATM.

Where?
RC1 has been released 25 days ago, I guess they will release the final tarball
in a week or so.

And rebuild more than ~22 packages? No thanks. It's the same boat.

Not yet. And from what I understand from the bug report it seems a KDE bug.

I agree that betas and RCs shouldn't go in [testing] for too long, but this is
[testing] right? We can expect some annoying bug.
Anyway, it wasn't my intention to freeze the [extra] updates.

Unfortunately I cannot find a release schedule about Qt. I'm sending now a
message to a couple of Qt devs. Just wait for my news.
