Hello,

preview-latex (part of auctex, a very widespread emacs-mode for
TeX-ing) does not work with ghostscript 9.00. There is a bug report on the
bug-auctex mailing list about that.

A very simple confirming minimal example is the following laTeX-File:

documentclass{article}
egin{document}
$mu$
end{document}
