Default Translation help needed for 2.1 release

Hi all,

We're hoping to make the 64 Studio 2.1 release next week, so if you
would like us to include release notes in your own language, we could do
with some translation help.

So far we have Czech, French and Italian translations contributed. The
English version is attached to this message. There isn't much text to
change from the 2.0 release notes, which you can find here:

http://download.linuxaudio.org/64studio/

in German, Spanish, Dutch and Brazilian Portuguese.

Thanks in advance! :-)

Daniel

64 Studio Ltd. is proud to present:

64 Studio 2.1, code name 'A Minha Menina'

64 Studio is a GNU/Linux distribution tailor-made for digital content
creation, including audio, video, graphics and publishing tools. A remix
of Debian 4.0 'Etch', it comes in both AMD64/Intel64 and 32-bit flavours, to
run on nearly all PC hardware. We aim to combine the stability and quality of
Etch with a specialised real-time preemption kernel and the latest creative
tools demanded by multimedia artists. Our tweaks to Debian include simplified
installation and default settings which help get production started quickly.

This is the first update to the second stable release of 64 Studio. It is
named after a song by Jorge Ben, recorded by Os Mutantes and covered by The Bees.

To install, put the disc into your DVD drive and reboot your computer.
After the reboot, make sure you see a screen with the Debian logo on it.
If you don't see the Debian logo, please check that your computer is
configured to boot from the DVD drive. You may need to make changes in the
BIOS settings of your PC to alter the boot sequence.

PLEASE NOTE BEFORE INSTALLING!

Installing any operating system will interact with your PC on a fundamental
level, including deleting, reformatting or resizing hard disc partitions.
This may result in data loss, so you must back up any programs or data you
wish to keep before beginning the installation. It is your responsibility
to fully research any software before installing it. 64 Studio Ltd, along
with any individual concerned, cannot be held responsible for any damage
arising from the use of this install DVD.

YOU INSTALL AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Hi Daniel

I avoided German umlauts to prevent of problems with character encoding.
I'm a dyslexic and my English is broken, so somebody from the list
should do copy editing.

Please add hwinfo and ntpdate to the new installation.

Cheers,
Ralf

Loving the choice of codename. Is this to celebrate the existence of a
Brazilian Portuguese translation? I have recently become familiar with
the Mutantes' version of this psychedelic classic. 64 Studio goes
Tropicalia! Now we can all do the 64 Studio samba! Bop shoo-wah, bop
shoo-wah Yeah! :-)))

cheers,

tim
