Default WYSIWYG HTML editor

Hi

a friend is using a low-cost web design editor, doing HTML and CSS. He's
running Vista.
He will edit some very simple sides, in HTML only, having a layout
similar to http://fellgesicht.com/.
Steff is a painter and he won't learn how to do web design. He needs a
simple tool, that simply generates HTML code.

I like the layout of http://fellgesicht.com/, but I'm not fine with some
issues.

* The page doesn't use an own font, when it's allowed by the web
browser.
* The page don't show the pics, when own colours aren't allowed by
the web browser.
* Text will overlap or hidden by pics, when zoomed in.

This issues are fine for other pages in the worldwide web, e.g.
http://www.64studio.com/.

He has some Macs and PCs and he should run Linux on one of his machines.

I know some editors for Linux, but I have no experiences in using them.
Any suggestions what editor I should recommend to someone who don't know
Linux and hasn't knowledge about programming?

Cheers,
Ralf
