While I send a mail where I asked you to send me your list, your mail
with the list was received .

I'm not subscribed to the dev list, but some people had problems when
using Synaptic and than apt-get because of howtos. There seems to be
need for clarification.

Because I'm also using Lenny, I'll try your sources.list. Hm, you have
some repositories that are also in 64studio.list. Arn't they 2 times for
Synaptic?

Thank you, I'll report in a few minutes ...

I also got fed up with repos appearing double in Synaptic, and nowadays
i only use and edit /etc/apt/sources.list. I have not used
64studio.list. And I don't know about the relationship between Synaptic
repos and /etc/apt/sources.list and 64studio.list, but i remember facing
similar problems in Ubuntu as well. Somebody wiser could maybe explain?

I cannot check now, but of course you can just delete the unnecessary
repos from Synaptic.

Now it seems to be okay, but ...

64studio:/home/spinymouse/Desktop/tmp/ardour-2.5# scons
scons: Reading SConscript files ...
Checking for pkg-config version >= 0.8.0... yes
Checking for aubio... no
aubio >= 0.3.2 not found.
You do not have the necessary dependencies required to build ardour
Please consult http://ardour.org/building for more information
64studio:/home/spinymouse/Desktop/tmp/ardour-2.5# apt-get install aubio

E: Couldn't find package aubio

64studio:/home/spinymouse/Desktop/tmp/ardour-2.5# apt-get install

The following packages will be REMOVED:
cinelerra libavcodeccvs51 libavformatcvs51 libavutilcvs49 liblame0
libpostproccvs51 libquicktime0 libquicktimehv
libswscalecvs0 xjadeo
[...]

Okay, Cinelerra wasn't fine for 64 Studio for me and Cinelerra is fine
for Suse 11.0, but I'm not happy that I'm losing codecs, e.g. liblame0
for MP3.

64studio:/home/spinymouse/Desktop/tmp/ardour-2.5# scons

IS IN PROGRESS AT THE MOMENT

I installed aubio as in the tutorial, without having to deinstall
anything. I suppose it has to do with lenny - living in the cutting edge
is not without its problems.

I tend to backport packages rather than to move to lenny before Free's
lenny repository is built. I'll stick to etch until that time.

Cheers,
Quentin
