Installing 2.1.i386 "A Minha Menina" - Report Part 2
OK,
had some small problems installing ntfs-3g. While 'libntfs-3g' installed fine, 'ntfs-3g' didn't. It requires 'libfuse2-(>2.6)' but won't be installed because it's not in the 64 Studio repos. While it IS in 'backports.org', it still doesn't get installed via synaptic. So I had to manually download 'libfuse2_2.7.1-2~bpo40+1_i386.deb' & 'fuse-utils_2.7.1-2~bpo40+1_i386.deb' and install them via 'dpkg -i'. I was so glad to figure this out by myself as a noob. Sure enough, all wasn't too well yet. 'libfuse' didn't want to install because 'fuse-utils-2.5.3.xx' had been installed by synaptic before. So remove that first, finally install all the needed packages, configure my 'fstab' file and lo and behold, after a restart all my ntfs drives/partitions are there. Hooray. Still happy to have solved this all by myself. ;) And still, 64 Studio is a very strong distro nontheless. Cheers Raphael ;) -- ________________________________ "A mind is like a parachute - It doesnt work if it's not open." |- - - - - - - Frank Zappa - - - - - - -| _______________________________________________ 64studio-devel mailing list 64studio-devel@64studio.com http://lists.64studio.com/mailman/listinfo/64studio-devel |
